Prairie Winds Ranches is a select breeder of quality Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horses. When training our horses we concentrate our efforts on the basics. The three basics of stop, turn easily and stand when the rider is mounting. Our aim is to make riding our horses a pleasant experience whether on the trail or in the show ring.

Our young horses are all quiet and love to spend time with us. When we are working on the fence in their pasture they have to come and check everything out. The photo above shows our 2 year old mare Princess with 2 of our yearlings Dancer (the chocolate) and Angeline (the black) .
The photo below shows the four yearlings. We have 3 chocolate's and a black filly. They are all very quiet and inquisitive. The yearlings we have for sale are shown on the colts and breeding stock for sale page. ζ |
